Jessie J

Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English performer and musician. Jessie was first noticed for her unusual music style that is a blend of soul, hip-hop and pop with electropop. She has received awards like the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award and the BBC's Sound of 2011 as well as several nominations. Her career began in the age of eleven when she was cast for the musical 'Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. Her next step was joining the National Youth Music Theater and participated in their 2002 production The Late Sleepers'. It was 2011, with her first album of studio work 'Who You Are,' which was released on February 28. It was an instant success.
